Jets fans have had enough. Frankly, I don’t blame them. After another blowout loss last week, this one to the 49ers, Jets fans decided to take action.

The only problem? After the supposed protest gained a lot of traction on Twitter, the turnout didn’t seem to match the rage found online.

It looks like a few more stragglers ended up joining the “protest”, but the team’s security was up to the task.

Well, it was worth a shot, I guess. It seems like this is where Jets nation is with this team and Adam Gase. They’re too much of a laughingstock to even be worth showing up to a protest. To the four (on my count) fans that decided enough was enough, and were escorted from the team’s practice facility, kudos to you. Don’t go down without a fight.

As far as Adam Gase is concerned, he’s just a dead man walking. The question seems to be less “if” and more “when” in regards to his firing. Gase is now 7-11 as the head coach of the Jets. He’s also managed to run one of the worst offenses in the NFL since he began his position as head coach and play-caller for the team.
Somewhere along the way, Adam Gase got a reputation as a skilled play-caller. I think that ship has sailed. Mike Greenberg talked about this diluted view of Gase on “Get Up” earlier in the week.

While the “Fire Adam Gase Protest” may have been a bust, the fact remains that Gase does need to be shown the door. He has shown his incompetence time and time again. I think the Jets organization needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom, but the core of their problems starts and ends with Adam Gase. Maybe gang green nation can get more numbers at their next protest.
