Jeremy Lin Claims Racist Players Have Called him ‘Coronavirus’ on the Court

Jeremy Lin has has quite the story to tell. Lin set the NBA world on fire in February of 2012, putting together an improbable run for the New York Knicks that would forever be remembered as ‘Linsanity.’ Lin, a bench player at the time, was only averaging six minutes of action per game in 2012 before that fateful day on Feb. 4th that started it all. Even all these years later, Lin is still dealing with adversity on and off the court.

The G League player shared some disturbing details in a rant on Instagram.

“Being an Asian American doesn’t mean we don’t experience poverty and racism,” Lin wrote. “Being a 9 year NBA veteran doesn’t protect me from being called ‘coronavirus’ on the court.”

Lin is currently playing for the Golden State Warriors’ affiliate club in a bubble in Orlando, Fla.

He’s trying to get back to the big stage if possible. There’s absolutely no place for racism on or off the court.

Linsanity is averaging 19.6 points, 7.2 assists and 1.6 steals  a game in the G League.
