George Karl Receiving Death Threats Following Carmelo Anthony Diss

Carmelo Anthony  fans to the rescue. In his introductory press conference on Monday, the newly minted Los Angeles Laker star talked about his desire to win his first championship.

“I think we all know that this is the one thing that I’m missing, right?” Anthony said.

“This is the one thing that it keeps me up at night, it motivates me, because I don’t have it. I want that experience.”

Later that day, Anthony’s former Coach George Karl responded to Anthony’s comments in a tweet, writing:

“And it kept our coaching staff up at night a decade ago when we were stressing the importance of team play and defense!”

Now it appears that comment triggered Carmelo Stans. Karl is apparently receiving death threats.

Karl and addressed the angry fans with yet another tweet Tuesday night.

“I think at least 100 people told me on here to die or rot in hell in the past 24 hours,” Karl said. “Cmon folks. That’s not kind or cool.”

“Lighten up and celebrate life!!”

Keyboard warriors are always quick to threaten someone’s life.

Just imagine what they’d say if they had to actually threaten someone in the real world.

Crickets.
