Former NFL Safety Nnamdi Asomugha Covers Essence Magazine with Tessa Thompson

Life after football isn’t always that sexy, but for the former Eagles/Raider safety, it’s been a pretty smooth ride. Nnamdi Asomugha has legit become a working actor. Asomugha retired from the NFL all the way back in 2013. If you remember, he made a boatload of money to play in Philly. Asomugha signed a five-year deal worth $60 million, with $25 million of that being guaranteed.

Actually his deal is still ranked as one of the worst.

He’s successfully transitioned into the world of film, as an actor and producer. Doesn’t hurt he’s married to Kerry Washington. Now the former NFL baller is on the cover of Essence magazine.

What a lucky guy. He’s done pretty well for himself on and off the field.
