Browns Have Identified Fan Who Threw a Bottle that Struck Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam

Things are getting ugly in Cleveland.

Following a an absolute devastating collapse to the New York Jets at FirstEnergy Stadium, footage that was taken by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero caught one fan in the stands throwing a bottle at Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, who happened to be on the field near the entrance tunnel at the time. The video shows the New York Jets’ game-winning touchdown from Joe Flacco to rookie wideout Garrett Wilson.

In the video you can see Tom Pelissero pan over to Haslam, who gets hit in the leg with a bottle, then points into the stands towards the section, trying to pinpoint who exactly threw the bottle.

Watch the video in question below:

“Fan, player and staff safety is the top priority in our building and behavior that puts others in danger will not be tolerated,” the Browns said in a statement. “Luckily no one was harmed in this incident and as a standard practice, we’ve cooperated with law enforcement authorities and security video footage of the object being thrown is in the appropriate hands. We will have no further comment on this matter.”

The fan walked away unscathed for throwing the bottle, and the Browns have informed Pelissero that they have now identified the fan and plan to ban him from the stadium moving forward.

The Browns have had plenty of bad losses throughout  their franchises’ history, but this particular loss to the Jets was a brutal one.

The Browns blew a 13 point lead with two minutes remaining.
