Josh McDaniels allegedly brought the Patriots’ cheating ways with him during his brief head coaching stint.
When McDaniels was the head coach in Denver for a couple of years, a former player says McDaniels used illegal video practices to spy on teams the Broncos were playing in the future.
Former linebacker D.J. Williams made the accusations when speaking about Josh McDaniels on the “I Am Athlete” podcast with Brandon Marshall, Chad Ochocinco, Fred Taylor, andLeSean McCoy
It started when Williams talked about how prepared Josh McDaniels was heading into game day.
“Josh would lay out keys to victory on how we win the game,” Williams said. “Every time we did exactly what he said, we won.”
D.J. Williams would go on to say that Josh McDaniels used illegal practices in order to get his team so prepared.
McDaniels was fined $50,000 by the NFL at the time. And he was fired by Denver the next season. He would return to the Patriots as the OC – a role where he remains to this day.
Josh McDaniels’ name is still among the front-runners for open head coaching jobs around the league this year.
