Deshaun Watson Is Reportedly Going With An ‘Anywhere But Houston’ Approach To His Offseason

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has made it very clear that he doesn’t want to be with the organization anymore. He has completely fallen out with team CEO Cal McNair, and he doesn’t believe in the team’s vision moving forward.

When a lot of athletes demand to be traded, they’ll present a list of teams they would like to play for. Not Deshaun Watson. According to NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano, one of his sources has told him that Watson does not care who he ends up being traded to. As long as he’s out of Houston.

“Really, though, the top of his list might be, ‘Anywhere but Houston,'” the source said. “If he really wants out, why would he say, ‘No,’ to any trade?”

Sideaction’s Latest:

Trading Deshaun Watson will be tough. Matthew Stafford garnered a heavy haul from the Los Angeles Rams and he’s much older, and much less talented than Deshaun. Would there even be a price big enough to land a guy of Deshaun Watson’s caliber?

It’s kind of unprecedented to see a young star quarterback demand a trade in the prime of his career. With that being said, if the guy simply won’t play for the Texans ever again, then a trade has to be inevitable, right?

I’m sure the Deshaun Watson saga will take many twists and turns throughout the offseason. Buckle up.
