Derek Carr Responds To Rumors That He Was ‘Motherf-ker’ Tom Brady Was Talking About In Viral Interview

Derk Carr doesn’t think that Tom Brady has it out for him. But according to a few reports, Carr might’ve been the QB who Brady subtly disrespected during a recent interview.

While having a sit down with some other athletes on HBO’s “The Shop” Brady revealed that one team bailed on him during the last minute of last year’s free agency. Brady had no intention of signing with the mystery team, but still had an issue with any team deciding to stick with another ‘motherf-ker’ over him.

After a lot of speculation into who Tom Brady may have been talking about, many people concluded that he was talking smack about Derek Carr and the Raiders.

When talking about the speculation, Derek Carr revealed that he has heard Tom Brady was not talking about him.

“From what I know it wasn’t me, which is good,” Carr told Brother from Another on Wednesday, per Pro Football Talk. “I know you got the rings, but if it’s not me then we’re good. What I heard, it wasn’t me. And so I’m good with that.”

PFT’s Mike Florio was hearing from his league sources that Derek Carr could be the guy Brady was referring to.

“In league circles, there’s one team that hasn’t been deeply thrust into the conversation, but perhaps should be: The Raiders,” Florio wrote in June. “Multiple people with deep connections to the NFL’s matrix have reached out in the past 24 hours to express a belief that the unnamed team was the Raiders. Which, obviously, would make Derek Carr the unnamed “motherf–ker.” As both sources explained it, the Raiders dropped out late in the process. As one source explained it, the Raiders thought Brady’s requests for extra things was over the top.”

In the end, we’ll never really know exactly who Tom Brady was talking about. Derek Carr was a good guess. But maybe we’ll have to keep speculating.
