DeAndre Hopkins Laughed At The Texans For Being Eliminated From The Playoffs

For some, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing your ex struggle. DeAndre Hopkins was traded from Houston to Arizona this past offseason in a deal that blew the minds of football fans everywhere. Now the wide receiver is taking some gratification in seeing his past team struggle. With the blowout loss to the struggling Chicago Bears on Sunday, the Texans were officially eliminated from playoff contention. Hopkins responded to an NFL on FOX Instagram post on Sunday regarding the Texans’ elimination.

Petty? Sure. But funny nonetheless. The funny part, however, is that the Cardinals are not a lock to make the playoffs at this point in time either. If the playoffs started today DeAndre Hopkins and the Cardinals would have just squeezed in with a 7-6 overall record. The Cardinals will likely be favored in their remaining games but all three of their opponents (Eagles, 49ers, Rams) are still alive.

DeAndre Hopkins didn’t actually say anything, so he won’t have to worry about eating his words but it would be a shame to see the Cardinals struggle in their last three games and fall short of the playoffs just like the Texans. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to worry about that kind of embarrassment because you know the internet won’t let it slide.
