Brooks Koepka Calls Bryson DeChambeau Beef ‘Good For The Game’

Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau have dominated headlines in the PGA with their well-known dislike for each other.

In the latest development of the Koepka-DeChambeau feud, fans were kicked out of The Memorial Tournament for calling Bryson by Brooks’ nickname ‘Brooksy’.

Koepka would go on to offer free beer to any fan who was kicked out of the tournament for this act.

When talking to reporters on Wednesday, Brooks Koepka was asked about his feud with Bryson DeChambeau.

“How would I characterize it? I don’t know where you want to start, like I guess — where do you want to start?” Koepka said during a news conference from the Palmetto Championship at Congaree outside of Ridgeland, South Carolina via ESPN. “That’s more my question.”

Koepka would go on to say that he feels his beef with DeChambeau is helping grow the game of golf to younger generations.

“I think it’s good for the game. I really do,” he said. “The fact that golf’s on pretty much every news outlet for about two weeks pretty consistently, I think that’s a good thing.

“It’s growing the game. The younger generation — I get the traditionalists who don’t agree with it. I understand that, but I think to grow the game you’ve got to reach out to the younger generation, and I don’t want to say that’s what this is, but it’s reaching out to a whole bunch of people. It’s getting golf in front of people. I think it’s good for the game.”

Brooks Koepka isn’t afraid to let his feelings on Bryson DeChambeau known. And it’s going to continue to make for some pretty entertaining PGA content for a long time.
