Brett Favre Ethers Trans Athletes Competing in Olympics

The old gunslinger Brett Favre always has a lot on his mind, and once again, Favre was back it. This time his target is Trans athletes. Favre said in an episode of his podcast that it is “unfair” for a transgender woman to compete in the Olympics. The Packers legend spoke on his podcast “Bolling with Favre” how he is not in favor of weightlifter Laurel Hubbard competing.

Favre stressed he has no issue with transgender people, but made his position on the debate quite clear: ‘Males cannot compete against females’

“That’s unfair. It’s not fair for a man, even if this person wants to be a woman or feels compelled — if you want to become the opposite sex, that’s fine. I got no problem with it. But you can’t compete against — males cannot compete against females.”

“If I was a true female — I can’t believe I’m saying that — and I was competing in weightlifting and lost to this person, I would be beside myself.”

Favre also commented on Wolfe this week, saying he did not think she should be allowed to compete in Tokyo.

Wolfe sparked controversy after an old Facebook post showed her saying she wanted to win an Olympic medal so she could ‘burn a US flag on the podium.’

‘I wouldn’t have her participate in my Olympics; go participate for somebody else. To say that is such a slap in our country’s face. I can’t believe this person can be allowed to participate for our country.’

‘The last eighteen months has shown us all that there is strength in kinship, in community, and in working together towards a common purpose. The mana of the silver fern comes from all of you and I will wear it with pride.’

Favre is at the point in his life where he wants to share his opinion, and he knows people are listening.

Favre is gonna Farve, not much we can do about it.
