Bill Russell Blows Out 87 Candles On His Legendary Birthday Cake

One simply doesn’t celebrate a legend’s birthday without a legendary birthday cake. Bill Russell’s 87th birthday was on Friday, and he didn’t let the occasion pass without reminding everybody what a competitor, and winner he really is. In a video posted to Twitter on Friday morning, Bill Russell is seen behind a massive birthday cake. He’s asked how he feels about turning 87 – to which the 11-time champion replies “I’ll kick its ass”.
