Miami Dolphins Reportedly Locked In On Getting This Weapon For Tua Tagovailoa In The Draft

The Miami Dolphins have made their decision on their future quarterback, and they’re going to stick with Tua Tagovailoa. That was apparent when they traded the #3 overall pick in Thursday’s NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, it’s being reported that they’re set on getting a big weapon for Tua with the #6 pick. According to that report, the Dolphins are REALLY hoping that Florida tight end Kyle Pitts drops to them.

Here’s what draft insider Todd McShay said during an appearance on ESPN today.

“You’ve got Miami sitting there hoping that Atlanta takes a quarterback, and then (Penei Sewell) goes five to Cincinnati,” McShay said during ESPN’s NFL Live on Monday, via 247Sports.com. “Because they want Kyle Pitts. But if it’s not Pitts, then it’s Ja’Marr Chase. And if it’s not Chase, then it’s going to be one of the two Alabama wide receivers being reunited with Tua Tagovailoa: DeVonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle.”

The NFL Draft is bound to take many twists and turns, and I’d expect some more teams to trade into the top-10. Some reports even indicate that the Dolphins like Kyle Pitts so much that they’d trade up one or two spots in order to get him.

We’ll see if Miami is willing to go all-in on Pitts. He certainly looks like one of those can’t-miss prospects.
