Nikola Jokić’s Brothers Tried to Rush the Court to Fight Suns Players

Nikola Jokić’s Brothers are trending. The NBA playoffs have been chock full of plenty of crazy moments so far, one of them being a scuffle between Nikola Jokić and Devin Booker. As the Denver Nuggets inched closer to playoff elimination, league MVP Nikola Jokic was booted from Sunday night’s game for a flagrant foul 2 after taking a swing in frustration at Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne.

That set off quite the scuffle. Jokic was ejected from the game at the end of third quarter. Prior to that ejection, Jokic and Booker had a little run in. Some video just released showed Jokic’s brothers trying to jump on the court to protect their brother. Luckily security was there to  hold them back from rushing the court.

Jokic spoke about the hard foul after the game:

“I wanted to change the rhythm of the game, I wanted to give us some energy, maybe change the whistle a little bit, so I wanted to make a hard foul,” Jokic said. “Did I hit him, did I not hit him? We don’t know. So I say sorry if I did because I did not want to injure him or hit him in the head on purpose.”

“I thought honestly they would not eject me,” Jokic said.

With the MVP out, the Suns put the nail in the coffin on the series, and swept the Nuggets right out of the playoffs.

Jokic can now spend the rest of the offseason with his brothers.
