Chicago Bears receiver Allen Robinson is fed up with his contract situation.
He’s made that clear time and time again. Whether it be cryptic tweets, subtle comments to the press, or reports that he was considering holding out, it’s no secret that Allen Robinson values himself much higher than the Chicago Bears do.
Allen Robinson recently spoke to NFL writer Tyler Dunne about his feelings about Chicago and the Bears organization.
“For myself, as a person and a player, I think the city of Chicago has an outstanding fan base. The best fan base I’ve played for in the NFL,” Robinson said, via Go Long with Tyler Dunne. “I am thoughtful of that through the process because — for myself — I never want to feel like I don’t enjoy the city of Chicago. They’ve embraced my foundation in the community. I built a ton of relationships. But, unfortunately, those aren’t the things that weigh the most in a situation like this.”
Allen Robinson would go on to detail what does go into his decision-making process.
“I’m still on the hunt to be a Hall-of-Fame receiver. That’s definitely important to me, as far as being able to play my best this next part — the prime of my career. That’s what it’s about. It’s about being able to play your best, being able to play meaningful games, being able to compete for a Super Bowl.”

While the Hall-of-Fame might be a little unrealistic for A-Rob, he does have a point. He’s still just 27-years-old, and he’s right not to want to waste the rest of his prime. Between Jacksonville and Chicago, Allen Robinson has never had quality quarterback play, but has been dominant regardless.
Robinson finished last season with 102 receptions for 1,250 yards yards and six touchdowns. If the Chicago Bears don’t offer Allen Robinson a massive contract, someone else will.
