Master P Thinks He Has What It Takes To Be The Next Head Coach Of The Pelicans

After just one season as head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans, Stan Van Gundy was let go. Now worries, rap legend Mater P has the perfect solution to fill the role, himself. On Monday, Master P revealed that he thinks he’d be a great fit as the next coach of the Pelicans.

“I think it’s time,” Master P told TMZ. “They gotta do something different, unique.”

“I played in the NBA, I done coached a lot of great players that are in the league. I done took my sons from being high school athletes to maybe they’ll be the next future big-time pro athletes.”

Master P would go on to say that he would be satisfied with an assistant coaching role.

“If they bring me in as a head coach or assistant coach, I think I can change the game!” he said.

Social media had all the jokes after Master P’s attempt to throw his hat into the Pelicans’ ring.

No, I don’t think Master P will be considered for a coaching job with the Pelicans. But as he mentioned, he does have some experience around basketball. Maybe he could figure out a way to help grow the game in some way.

Nevertheless, Master P thinks he’s the guy who would know what to do with Zion Williamson in New Orleans, and he believes that he can help turn the team into a winner.

“We’ll win and Zion will be happy,”Master P said. “Everything! I feel like it’s motivating the players and understanding them, that’s the most important thing.”
