Ryan Tannehill Won’t Be Too Happy When He Hears Who the Titans Tried to Trade For

Ryan Tannehill played really well last season.

He lead the team to  a 12-5 record and the #1 seed in the AFC. Unfortunately his season ended on a sour note. Ryan Tannehill tossed three pics in a playoff loss to the Bengals. To make matters worse for Tannehill, the Titans didn’t tell him they were drafting his eventual replacement in the NFL Draft.

Now he’s really going to be pissed.   According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans explored trade options around Deshaun Watson and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Schefter said on NFL Live:

“There is a lot riding on this season for Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans. They were dipping their toes in on Aaron Rodgers during the offseason before he re-signed in Green Bay. They checked in on Deshaun Watson and found that he wouldn’t be traded in the division.”

Tannehill signed a four-year extension after the 2019 season, but the Titans have a reasonable out after this year since he has no guaranteed money due in 2023.

It sounds like they’re not at all sold on Tannehill as their guy. He’s gonna need some more therapy.
