Pelicans’ Jaxson Hayes Being Sued By Ex-Girlfriend Sofia Jamora

The New Orleans Pelicans’ big man Jaxson Hayes is being sued by former ex-girlfriend and Instagram model Sofia Jamora.

The 8th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Hayes is being sued for assault and battery by Jamora, according to TMZ Sports.

In the Lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Jamora claims they started dating in October 2020 and that Hayes first got violent with her on Valentine’s Day 2021, violently abusing her in a Dallas hotel room.

The document continues by explaining that “Jamora claims she traveled with Jaxson for his NBA game and shared a hotel room, and when he returned to the room he flipped out when she joked about a lack of Valentine’s Day flowers. She claims he cussed her out, hit her with a suitcase he tossed across the room, physically prevented her from leaving the room and broke down a bathroom door to rip her phone out of her hand.” (TMZ sports)

In the suit, Jamora claims Hayes was violent with her in July of 2021 when Jaxson woke up at midnight from a “drug-induced stupor” after an incident with their dogs. Hayes is said to have threatened for his cousin to rape her.

Hayes has continued to play this season for the Pels even after stories broke about how he was tased and later arrested in July.

Jamora is suing Jaxson for assault, battery and infliction of emotional distress as well as she is going after him for damages.
