Joc Pederson Has Turned Into Barry Bonds After Their Talk Tuesday

San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson is in the midst of another successful season. But after meeting with Barry Bonds this week, the lefty has basically turned into the Giants legend.

Last night, Pederson ran into Bonds at Oracle Park, and a long conversation about baseball took place.

“That’s probably the best hitting conversation I’ve ever had,” Pederson said.

Well, after the Barry Bonds convo, Joc Pederson took charge.

In the thrilling win Tuesday night over the Mets, Pederson went 4-6 with three homers, a game-tying single in the ninth, and a total eight RBIs in the game.

“It was probably the best offensive performance that I’ve ever been around, considering all things, like big moments in the game, the necessity to be resilient even in that last at-bat against one of the tougher relievers in baseball,” manager Gabe Kapler said. “It was the best individual performance I’ve seen.”

On Wednesday, Joc Pederson added some more pop, hitting another home run en route to another Giants victory.

After his incredible two-game stretch, Joc Pederson revealed what Barry Bonds told him.

“It was just talking, freeing up the mind, getting rid of distractions,” Pederson said. “I’ve talked to great hitters before and they’re not as in-depth as him. Obviously the game came very easy for him, but he’s also a master inside the ears at being able to stay focused.”

It seems like Joc Pederson is channeling his inner Barry Bonds after their little chat.

It’s fun to watch, that’s for sure.
