Brooks Koepka Opens Up On His Move To LIV Golf

Brooks Koepka appears to have fully embraced the villain role.

Despite standing firm on the PGA Tour, Koepka went back on his word, and ended up joining a few other golf stars in joining the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league.

On Tuesday, Brooks had his LIV press conference, where he explained his reasoning for the move.

“Just my opinion, man,” Koepka said Tuesday, when asked what caused him to change his mind, via ESPN.com. “My opinion changed. That was it. You guys will never believe me, but we didn’t have the conversation ’til everything was done at the U.S. Open and figured it out and just said I was going to go one way or another. Here I am.”

When asked if he has any concerns about the Saudis who started LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka gave a simple response.

Brooks Koepka joined the likes of Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, and Dustin Johnson with the move to LIV Golf.

Koepka — who is recently engaged — admitted that more time at home played a large factor in his decision to make the leap.

Obviously, Brooks Koepka doesn’t feel like he needs to apologize to anyone, and it’ll be interesting to see what happens to the legacy of some of these golfers who joined LIV.
