But, a flurry of injuries to Marvin Bagley and De’Aaron Fox has stalled growth in the franchise. Recently, frustrations are beginning to boil over. Since being demoted to the bench, it does not seem like Buddy Hield is enjoying his time in Sacramento right now.

While speaking to the media, Hield gave clear indication of dissatisfaction with his role in the rotation.

Amid massive struggles in the franchise, Hield begins his 4-year $94M contract extension next season. This issue could not come at a worse time. Many critics have singled out head coach Luke Walton as the biggest issue for the franchise. Hield is averaging 19.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game during the regular season. A contending team with cap space could see Hield’s contract as undervalued considering his offensive production.

It is still unclear how bad things truly are with Hield and the Kings. But, As we have seen in the past — these situations can escalate to a trade request very fast.
