Pro Football Hall of Fame Matt Ryan’s Game Ball Display Hilariously Has The Number 283 On It

Talk about an unintentional troll job.

According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Matt Ryan surpassed former NFL great Peyton Manning for second-fewest games needed to reach 60,000 career passing yards. Drew Brees currently holds the record, reaching 60,000 passing yards in 215 games. In honor of Matt Ryan’s impressive feat, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has obtained the football Matt Ryan threw to hit the milestone, it’s currently sitting on display in Canton. They report that it is the first game-used artifact of the 2022-23 season to arrive at the Hall. It is also the first time in recent memory that a Hall of Fame display ended up unintentionally trolled the very player it was commemorating.

Check out the football marked 283 below:

It is possible that whoever created this display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame didn’t realize the significance of the number 283.

New England Patriots fans are going to love this display.

That can’t be just a coincidence, can it? Just in case you’re not in the know, Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead against the Patriots in Super LI. That ended up being the largest comeback in Super Bowl history, with the New England Patriots overcoming a 28–3 deficit to emerge victorious. Atlanta scored three consecutive touchdowns to take a 21–3 halftime lead, which they increased to 28–3 midway through the third quarter.

We know what happened next.  283 is one number Matty Ice is never going to be happy to see.
