One Player Has Had More NFL MVP Bets on Him Than Anyone This Month

The last two seasons the MVP has been awarded to Aaron Rodgers, a QB, so of course it makes sense bettors are flocking to a signal caller. As the Quarterback situation continues to unfold in San Francisco, bettors are feeling pretty confident about the Niners QB1.Currently Niners Quarterback Trey Lance has more bets placed on him to win NFL MVP than any other player this month.

And his odds have reflected the heavy betting on Lance.

Trey Lance's NFL MVP odds were just moved from 50/1 to 40/1 this afternoon at @CaesarsSports.

Lance has received the most NFL MVP bets so far in August, getting 19.1% of the tickets this month.

The San Francisco 49ers believe Jimmy Garoppolo has some value on the trade market despite failing to find a deal so far this offseason, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

“My sense is the 49ers still think they can get something, even if it’s just a late-round pick, for him while dictating his destination,” Breer wrote.

Garoppolo has a $26.95 million cap hit for 2022, though the team can save $25.55 million by trading or releasing him, per Spotrac. His $24.2 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed on Monday of Week 1 (Sept. 12).

If you feel like Lance is going to have a breakout season, you better get in at 40-1, because based off the betting in August, by September his MVP odds are only getting worse.
