Tom Brady To Star In Comedy Movie With A Bunch of Elderly Women

Tom Brady appears to have found his second act following his 22-year NFL career: Hollywood actor.

The latest report out of LA is that the GOAT is set to star in a comedy road trip move titled “Brady” with a bunch of older women. TB12 is set to star alongside Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Rita Moreno, and Lily Tomlin, who are all older than 75-years-old.

Per The Hollywood Reporter:

Brady, the movie, not the player, will be directed by Kyle Marvin, who also co-wrote the script with Michael Covino. Marvin, who appears as an actor in the upcoming Apple limited series WeCrashed and co-wrote and starred in indie movie The Climb, is also executive producing with Covino under the duo’s Watch This Ready banner and Jeff Stott.

Brady, making a transition from football player to Hollywood player, was deeply involved with the inception of the project, developing it with Donna Gigliotti and Endeavor Content. He will produce through his production company, 199 Productions, along with Gigliotti, who counts Hidden Figures, Silver Linings Playbook, and Shakespeare in Love amongst her credits. Shortly after announcing his retirement, Tom Brady left the door open to playing in the NFL again someday if his current mindset changed.

“You know, I’m just gonna take things as they come,” Brady said. “I think that’s the best way to put it and I don’t think anything, you know, you never say never. At the same time I know that I’m very, I feel very good about my decision. I don’t know how I’ll feel six months from now, [inaudible] change, it most likely won’t. But I try to make the best possible decision I can in the moment, which I did this last week. And, again, I think it’s not looking to reverse course, I’m definitely not looking to do that. But in the same time I think you have to be realistic that you never know what challenges there are gonna be in life. Again, I loved playing. I’m looking forward to doing things other than playing.”

With his offseason now centered around dealing with Jane Fonda instead of Bruce Arians, I find it hard to believe Tom Brady is really considering coming out of retirement at this time.
