Stefon Diggs Opens Up On Why He Got The Hell Out Of Minnesota

Stefon Diggs is in a much better place this year. After Diggs and the Buffalo Bills took care of the Steelers last night, they moved to 10-3, all but locking up first place in the AFC East. Diggs has been a huge part of a transformation for the Bills offense, and he’s a major reason why they’re a Super Bowl contender this year.

As for why Diggs asked to be traded out of Minnesota? He got real when talking about that recently.

“(The Vikings) were kind of gearing towards a run-heavy (offense) at that time. I didn’t know it going in. I didn’t know it was going to be that way. They only would allow me to do so much. In my eyes, it wasn’t going to be in the best interest of my career, Stefon Diggs said via Fansided.

Diggs added that he felt he was being lied to by Minnesota Vikings management.

“People were kind of, I’m not going to say peeing on me and telling me that it’s raining, that’s a little bit harsh. But once you don’t have trust with the person. It’s hard to do business.”

Stefon Diggs appears to be in a better place now, both mentally, and on the football field. The Vikings are currently scrounging for a wild card spot in the NFC at 7-6. However, the Vikings traded Diggs for a first-rounder in 2020, and ended up taking Justin Jefferson with that pick. Jefferson looks like an absolute stud, and could win Offensive Rookie Of The Year this season.
