Vikings Request Interview With Eagles VP of Football Catherine Raiche For GM Job

The Vikings offseason is already in full swing.

The Minnesota Vikings have requested an interview with Philadelphia Eagles vice president of football operations Catherine Raîche for their general manager vacancy, according to reports.

This is believed to be the first GM interview request for a woman in NFL history, according to the NFL Network, which reported that the Vikings also requested to interview Eagles director of player personnel Brandon Brown.

Only one woman has ever served as general manager for an NFL team.

In 1983, then-Eagles owner Leonard Toss promoted his daughter Susan Tose Spencer to the role, which she held for three years.

Probably time for the Vikings to bring in some new blood.

Raîche, in her third season with the Eagles.
