Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy might just be the most unpopular individual in the entire state of Illinois right about now.
After Justin Fields sputtered in his starting debut, fans were once again calling for Nagy to be fired. And the coach didn’t help matters when he declared that all three of his quarterbacks (Fields, Andy Dalton, Nick Foles) were in play to start the game against Detroit on Sunday.

On Friday, Matt Nagy kept a similar tone when saying that his starting QB for Sunday would be a “game time decision”.

Shortly after Matt Nagy made his declaration, fans from everywhere flocked social media to mock the head coach.
Nagy’s offense with both QB’s can barely score 17 points and he’s thinking he’s tricking people by not revealing the starter 🤣

I like how it's pointed out to Nagy that not naming Fields the starter, since Dalton is questionable, shows a lack of confidence in his young QB. Nagy's answer: "That's not the case."
I don't think Nagy will ever learn what it means to show confidence in a young QB.#Bears— Flo Ottis (@flo_ottis) October 1, 2021

@WaddleandSilvy this is how Nagy should start & end every presser. Literally the entire nation is laughing at this turd monkey. pic.twitter.com/3IQyF2t6C8

For now, it appears that Matt Nagy is a clear-cut candidate to be fired mid-season. He’s skyrocketed up the Vegas odds for “next head coach to be fired” and his team doesn’t appear to be getting any better on a week-to-week basis.
After last week’s beat down to the Browns, Bears fans have no optimism that Matt Nagy can put a winning game plan together against a team as shotty as the Lions. And that has nothing to do with which QB takes the snaps.
