The Damon’s repeatedly refused the police officers’ orders, and then tried to cover it up by saying things like “blue lives matter” and lamenting the fact that they like Donald Trump.

“As I observed Damon, he was extremely unsteady on his feet and his speech was extremely slurred,” the officer on the scene said via US Weekly. “I detected the odor of alcoholic impurities coming from his person as we stood at the rear of his vehicle. … I asked Damon how much he had to drink during the evening, and he stated ‘…just a little bit.’ While motioning with his left hand and fingers in a small pinching motion.”

Johnny Damon also spoke to reporters after he was released from prison.

“Jail sucks, handcuffs are worse,” Damon told the outlet. “I’m always accountable for my actions and we’ll see what happens soon. But, I will be honest with you and always be accountable and like I said I would never put myself, my loved ones or anybody in harm’s way getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. So, I apologize and hopefully, I can answer more questions later on.”
