Vegas Dave Has $4 Million More Dollars To Lose

Vegas Dave making $4 million dollars on a Mike Trout rookie baseball card isn’t the headline I want to read on a Monday morning. Gotta say though, this was definitely his best bet of all time because it was basically something that was guaranteed to win. If you lose millions of dollars all of the time but then make a few million every once in a while, does it really balance out? I’m not a skilled mathematician but I’m thinking no. If I spend $2000 and then get $1000, is that a win? Most people would say that’s a loss. But maybe we aren’t giving Vegas Dave the credit he deserves, maybe he won’t be remembered as the best gambler of all time, but the most positive person in the history of the world. It’s not a loss if you win afterwards, even if it’s only a dollar.

And if you don’t know who Vegas Dave is…this is a great introduction:

Another big question here is should we all get into the sports card industry? Seems like a waste of money but if Vegas Dave can actually win in this, it might be easier than I think. Now how long until a mystery person bets $3.6 million dollars on the Browns winning the AFC North?
