Being a ball girl isn’t all fun and games. A tennis match in Spain could have ended in serious tragedy after an umpire’s chair collapsed in the middle of the game, almost crushing a ball girl who managed to avoid the umpire chair at the last moment. The incident took place on Thursday at the Gran Canaria Challenger in Las Palmas.

As you can see everyone rushed to check on the ball girl. Luckily the umpire had left the chair to check a mark on the court.
This allowed the wind to blow down the chair.
Just goes to show you never know when tragedy can strike. That was a pretty close call.
