UFC fighter Luis Pena, 27, known as Violent Bob Ross, was arrested in Florida on Friday and charged with battery and robbery.

The UFC veteran was picked up by the Coral Springs Police Department on an extradition warrant issued by a police department in another county in Florida.

Pena posted on Wednesday that he has been going through some ‘serious mental illness issues lately’ which could have some correlation to the arrest on Friday.
People aren’t comfortable talking about this, but I have been going through serious mental health issues my entire life and have finally gained the strength to get and accept the help I’ve needed for a long time. If you’re struggling take it from me its okay to reach out

Pena followed up his tweet with an Instagram post about the support he received from everyone concerning his mental health struggles.
‘Violent Bob Ross’ is 3-2 in the UFC with his most recent appearance in the octagon being a split decision win over Alex Munoz on April 17th of this year. He was forced to withdraw from TUF 27 after suffering a fractured foot.
His future in the UFC is now very uncertain as one of his charges carries a maximum 5 year prison sentence and $5,000 fine.
