Trevor Bauer Hints At A Potential Signing With The New York Yankees

Trevor Bauer is one of the more unique players we’ve seen come through the MLB in quite some time. His on-field antics coupled with his active use of social media makes for some interesting content. Love him or hate him, Bauer isn’t going to change.

Bauer is really feeling himself lately, after completing his most successful year as a professional. He was straight up filthy all year, and probably should win the NL Cy Young.

Bauer is also a free agent, and he knows he’s about to get PAID. In typical Bauer fashion, he took to Twitter after noticing that the Yankees could use some pitching help.

Interesting, indeed. We know the Yankees have deep pockets that could bring in a top of the line starter like Trevor Bauer.

New York did just make Gerrit Cole the highest paid pitcher of all time last offseason, but I still wouldn’t be surprised if Brian Cashman and the Yankees brass took a long look at Trevor Bauer after their season concludes.

If these playoffs are any indication, pitching (specifically starting pitching) is the achilles heel for a Yankees team that has been in World Series or bust mode for a couple of years now. Bauer could give them the push to get them over the hump.

Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole also have a history. The two aces pitched in the same rotation at UCLA. However, it has been reported that the two couldn’t stand each other in college.

Would the Bauer-Cole beef squash a potential fit for Bauer with the Yankees? Time will tell. For what it’s worth, I’d love to see Bauer and Cole pitching together in the pinstripes.
