Thursday Night Football Kicks Off In The AFC With A Rematch Of The Trubisky Bowl

Thursday Night Football kicks off tonight on NBC with an AFC showdown: Texans at Chiefs. Aka the Trubisky Bowl rematch. If you don’t know what the Trubisky Bowl is by now I don’t know where you’ve been. Two premiere quarterbacks (Watson and Mahomes) that the Bears failed to draft. Even with a trade up. Instead, they drafted UNC’s Mitch Trubisky. The action starts tonight on NBC’s Thursday Night Football at 8:20 EST.

Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs: Thursday Night Football

The 2020 Thursday Night Football opener is a rematch of the epic AFC showdown last season. The Chiefs dug themselves in a 24 point hole early in the second quarter. However, they went on a run of 41 unanswered points. They won the game, they won the Super Bowl, and Mahomes got the MVP. The rest is history. As a Chiefs fan, I won’t lie, we have Bill O’Brien to thank for getting conservative at all the wrong times. Having said that, you have to give credit where credit is due. Andy Reid and that Chiefs offense came up HUGE. I look forward to seeing them tonight on Thursday Night Football.

I haven’t looked too deep into the Thursday Night Football schedule, but this may be the best game we get on a Thursday all year. If it is anything like the showdown from the playoffs last season then you better strap your seatbelts. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride. Watson and Mahomes both got paid this offseason, so we will see who has the most swagger. Meanwhile, Mitch is still on the Chicago Bears in the same QB room as Nick Foles. If you don’t watch this Thursday Night Football game tonight, you’re dead to me.
