Adrian Peterson was ‘blindsided’ by his release from The Washington Football Team. Peterson spent the past two years with Washington, leading the team in rushing over that time with 1,940 yards and 12 touchdowns. Peterson’s shelf life has been longer than the average running back, but it still came as a surprise. However, the WFT did thank him for his service. With Guice gone too, what is their next move? Where will Peterson land?

Adrian Peterson is one of my favorite running backs of all time. I remember him playing in an Oklahoma Sooner jersey like it was yesterday. Lots of my game as an RB was modeled after the great AP. I never made it to the NFL, but he will forever be my idol.
“It comes as a surprise. I didn’t feel I showed anything that would warrant being released,” Peterson told ESPN. The veteran RB was very adamant about wanting to continue to play in the National Football League. “Oh, yeah, without a doubt,” Peterson said. “I definitely want to play.”
Peterson is 35 years old and considered a power back. The Washington Football Team has four other running backs, all 27 years old or younger and capable of helping in both the run game and passing out of the backfield. So where will Peterson land? Your guess is as good as mine. I would love to have him as a Chiefs fan, but we just don’t have the salary available for an RB of his calibar. We also have the young running back from LSU, Clyde Edwards-Helaire. In situations like Peterson’s I always say the player will land on the Patriots lol. But I suppose we shall see.
