The Bears Won Yet Are Still Losing, Allen Robinson Deleted All Bears References On Twitter

On Tuesday morning, Twitter lit up with the news that Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson had scrubbed his social media, deleting all photos and references of him on the Bears. Robinson took the image of him in a Bears uniform down from his header and replaced it with a personal logo, deleted all photos of him in Bears gear, and also removed the Bears from his bio. Robinson has been looking for a contract extension but hasn’t gotten one yet. Pissing off your best offensive player doesn’t seem like a smart strategy but nobody has ever accused Bears GM Ryan Pace of being smart.

Not looking good. And it shouldn’t. Pay this man! What are you even doing? Allen Robinson had 98 receptions for 1,147 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. He deserves a contract extension. That’s pretty clear. The Bears barely have a quarterback, they’ve got maybe what I would consider a half of a quarterback in Trubisky and another half in Foles, which does make one whole quarterback but not in the way you want a whole quarterback. What you do have is an elite receiver in Allen Robinson, that’s something you actually have, and you are unwilling to pay him what he deserves. How do you think Trubisky will look without Robinson? Not any better. Allen Robinson should straight up walk out the door, the situation is insulting and just plain stupid. I didn’t think the Jags should let Robinson go and now the Bears are going to make the same mistake? And the other players are starting to get pissed, which is usually not great after only one game.
