Jones was named interim GM , then finally promoted to GM of the Suns in April 2019.
James also played 709 games in the NBA, including 3 NBA Championships in 2012, 2013, and 2016. James’ most notable move this off season was acquiring Chris Paul and Abdel Nader for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, and a 2022 first round pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The move clearly sparked the team this year as it was coming off a 34-39 season where the Suns finished in 10th place in the West.
James Jones and Suns are looking to put a bow on the season with a trip to the NBA Finals.
