A Lady Cop Getting Emotional Over Her Anxiety Ordering McDonald’s Has Been Dubbed ‘Officer Karen’ For Her Rant

It’s a delicate time in America with a lot of raw emotions so you may expect the worse when you see “Officer Karen” trending on Twitter. The Karen meme has brought a lot of awkward white lady moments to the surface but this one — that features a McMuffin from McDonald’s — struck a particular chord with Twitter:

I think we've figured out what's been wrong with the cops in this country. According to Stacey, they haven't been hearing, "Thank you," enough.

McGriddles do in fact rule. More foods should attempt to combine entire Lumberjack breakfasts into one sandwich. A pristine hangover food item.

But listen, I’m about as empathetic as can be. I think it’s one of few kind human traits that I have. I want to understand other people, get where they’re coming from, maybe see myself in them. And I get where Officer Karen here is stressed and feels like the world hates her. It’s a tough spot for many cops who aren’t bad people.

At the same time, do you think that the stress of Officer Karen worrying about her McMuffin compares to what Black people across the country have dealt with? Does she think that a white lady cop crying over her coffee coming slightly before her food is suddenly going to put a human voice to what’s going on here? It almost feels like some high level parody that she’d be this butt hurt over something so banal with what’s going on in the country. And yet here we are, watching her cry because the McDonald’s worker didn’t give that service with a smile.

I guess the good news is that she didn’t ask to speak to the teenage manager on duty then pistol whip him until he confessed to a crime he didn’t commit. Maybe if she had ordered a hash brown and couldn’t eat that too. Hash browns have to be atop the tone deaf emotional breakdown over McDonald’s breakfast power rankings.
