NCAA Makes Decision On Fan Attendance For March Madness 2021

Last year the unthinkable happened in the world of college basketball: March Madness was canceled. This year the NCAA has decided to proceed with the tournament, despite the looming coronavirus pandemic. Thank God we won’t have to suffer another year of “March Sadness”. However, things will be a bit different this year at the NCAA Tournament. First of all, the entire tournament will be played in Indiana. Although the days of having packed crowds for NCAA games are temporarily over, there will actually be fans in attendance for this year’s tournament.

On Friday, the NCAA announced that it will allow up to 25 percent capacity with physical distancing for all rounds of the tournament. Fans must wear a face covering during the game, as there will be additional safety measures in place at each venue.

It’s been a weird year for college basketball, but this is a small victory worth celebrating. March Madness is right around the corner and fans will be back at a limited capacity. That is something to be excited about. Yes, it will still feel different. However, it is better than hearing nothing more than a bouncing ball and squeaking shoes. The video may not be as exciting this year but nevertheless, somebody is going to get their one shining moment. Get excited college basketball fans. March Madness is back.
