Nebraska Women’s Basketball Coach Chuck Love, Guard Ashley Scoggin Being Linked Following Suspension, Removal

Women’s college basketball is getting some much needed attention, but for all the wrong reasons.

Nebraska Women’s Basketball team suspended associate head coach Chuck Love with pay, they also removed starting guard Ashley Scoggin from the team’s roster.

What’s interesting about these simultaneous moves are that Nebraska isn’t explaining much. They aren’t exactly spelling out why these moves were made, or if they are connected.

Via Newswatch 7:

“Head coach Amy Williams will not confirm why or if those decisions are connected.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln would not comment on Love’s suspension, only saying it’s a personnel matter.

The husband and father was suspended with pay.

Sunday, a reporter pressed Williams: “We got two separate news releases yesterday, are those two things connected,” he asked.

“That’s something that I can’t answer at this time but certainly something that we are just going to focus on our current team,” Williams responded.

I think everyone kind of figures these two moves have to be connected.

Most assume it’s about an inappropriate relationship, which may explain her removal from the roster.

Hopefully the truth will come out.
