Did Mark Cuban Have Something To Do With Archie Miller’s Firing?

The Indiana Hoosiers finally pulled the plug on head basketball coach Archie Miller today after his disappointing four seasons at the helm. During his tenure, Archie Miller failed to make the NCAA Tournament every year, went 0-7 against rival Purdue, and finished 12-15 in 2020-21. Needless to say, Hoosier fans were pretty happy to see Archie Miller go.

Fans have even shared their desire for the team to land top-of-the-line guys such as Brad Stevens or Baylor’s Scott Drew.

Indiana was forced to pay Archie Miller a $10 Million buyout after firing him. It has since been reported that an unidentified booster paid for the entire buyout. This has led many people to believe that proud IU alumnus and basketball fanatic Mark Cuban was involved with Archie Millers’ firing.

We may never know if Mark Cuban was actually one of the two massively rich boosters who helped pave the way for the Archie Miller dismissal. But it is kind of fun to just assume that Mark Cuban had a stake in the game here.

I mean, it does make sense.
