Ian Poulter Ripped An All-Time Fart While Mic’d Up During The Travelers Championship

TMZ Sports – After [Greg] Chalmers took his swing … viewers could hear what sounds like a duck being slaughtered — which turned out to be a big ol’ fart.

So, who was the culprit?

Poulter took credit almost immediately — saying on camera, “Did you get that?”

Chalmers responds, “Stay over there. Is that supposed to be more silent than that?!”

Ian Poulter also took the blame on Twitter with a helpful reminder for all people, golfers and otherwise, to be aware of a live mic:

There’s long been a school of thought that “farts = funny” in comedy. And it’s hard to argue this one after seeing the typically stodgy Ian Poulter rip one. But what gets me is the subtitle “(Fart)” on the screen. I’m not sure our friends out there using Closed Captioning would normally experience the joy of an unexpected blast of gas. But with the (Fart) inclusion, it’s arguably an even more high brow form of comedy for those fine folks too.

Farts, bringing people together at a time we need it at the most. Other than Greg Chalmers, perhaps. Nothing would be more titling than catching COVID from an obscenely overpowered fart from someone in your foursome. Even the joy of a (Fart) in closed captioning couldn’t balance out the bad luck involved in that exchange.
