Monday Night Million: Metcalf Captained Lineup Wins Seven Figures Outright

When there are 176,470 total entries in contention for a top prize in a single-game tournament in daily fantasy, it’s rather difficult to do so outright: with the limited player options available let alone the ocean of other entrants. Metcalf‘s 10 catches and 177 receiving yards (along with a stellar mix to accompany him in the winning lineup), DraftKings user crispybacon1993 put up 126.55 DK Fantasy Points with one of their five entries in the NFL $2.25M MONDAY NIGHT MILLIONAIRE tournament to take down the one million-dollar top prize all by themselves.

Beyond the stellar performance by Metcalf, crispybacon1993 notably also ran out Carson Wentz with both of the Philadelphia tight ends in Dallas Goedert and Richard Rodgers who each caught one of the two passing touchdowns Wentz threw on the evening. It was Rodgers’ 33-yard touchdown catch in garbage time with just 12 seconds remaining which scored one million bucks for crispybacon1993.

While crispybacon1993’s winning lineup featured not one player beneath Jason Myers‘ 17% field exposure, Metcalf slotted in as his Captain at just 10.8% and notching him 46.05 DKFP was a massive catalyst in the victory. Uniquely running both Eagles tight ends in tandem with a shaky Wentz, while fading Russell Wilson, was all the difference to set their lineup apart as the solo millionaire made. You’ll notice in the second-place lineup, which included 76 duplicates, Wilson was the losing inclusion to the mix:

Wilson was also in 84.7% ownership of the field, in contrast to Myers at just 17%, which crispybacon1993 is indeed likely to be thanking for making the pivot onto.
