Win Or Lose Cincinnati Public Schools Cancels School on Super Bowl Monday

Looks like a Super Bowl hangover won’t be that bad.

The announcement of schools closing on Super Bowl Monday came after a board member tweeted that he had put in a request to have Feb. 14th off for staff and students following the big game.

“I think it’s pretty super likely,” Moroski told The Enquirer Monday morning. “It’s kind of a no-brainer I think.”

I have put in a request to have the day after the Super Bowl off for everyone in the district.

I do not make these calls, but I thought it would be a good thing for our community to celebrate this special time.

His request became reality Monday afternoon when Cincinnati Public School administrators sent out a districtwide message to families and staff, complete with the Bengals “Who Dey” chant: “”Who Dey! Who Dey! Who Dey Think Gonna Beat Dem Bengals? Nooooobody!”

“We hope that you enjoy Roaring the Bengals to a win on Sunday and take this time to take pride in our incredible city and amazing football team,” the says.

Super Bowl Monday
In celebration of the Cincinnati Bengals advancing to the Super Bowl, Ross Local School District will not be in session on Monday, February 14th. This day will be a calamity day and no remote learning will occur. Staff and students will not report on the 14th.

Cincinnati Public Schools will be closed Monday, Feb. 14, the day after the #Bengals face the Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

If the Bengals win it will be a magical day off.

If they lose,  a decent consolation prize.
