Max Scherzer Wants No Part Of The New York Mets

With the Trade Deadline vastly approaching for the MLB, all eyes will be on Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer.

Scherzer could be a perfect fit for so many contenders who are looking to shore up their starting rotation with a true top-of-the-line guy with the pedigree to boot.

Max Scherzer is that guy, and has been for many years.

Unfortunately for some teams, Scherzer has a no-trade clause in his contract. And he would be granted the ability to turn down any deal after it’s made.

The New York Mets appear to be going all-in on the 2021 season, and have been linked to several big names on the trade market. They even checked in on Max Scherzer, but reportedly found out that he would not be interested in playing in Queens.

Max Scherzer is reported to be looking into teams that he could win a World Series with this season. But he also wants to go to a place that would be interested in signing him to an extension.

According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, Scherzer’s top three teams on his preferred list include the Dodgers, Giants and Padres.

No matter who makes the huge splash to land Max Scherzer this Trade Deadline, it will be incredibly fun to watch him pitch in meaningful baseball games in September and October once again.
