Matt Nagy Reportedly Could Be Fired As Early As Next Monday

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy finds himself as public enemy #1 in Chicago after his offense shared to show any promise in Justin Fields’ debut as the quarterback.

Nagy and the Bears were completely embarrassed by the Cleveland Browns – leaving fans wondering why Nagy still has a job.

Sure enough, one report has indicated that Matt Nagy’s firing could be coming very soon.

According to Jeff Hughes of Da Bears Blog, there is a growing feeling inside the Bears’ building that a loss to the Lions might be the final dagger of Nagy’s tenure in Chicago.

While most Chicago Bears fans have tied Matt Nagy’s fate to that of general manager Ryan Pace, as well, it appears that the organization will assess both situations separately. At least according to this report.

Matt Nagy was a popular guy in 2018, when he won Coach Of The Year honors during his first season at the helm. But year after year, his offense has seemingly gotten worse.

And if he shows incompetence when working with Justin Fields (who was drafted to be the future of the team) than there’s really no reason to keep the charade going.

If this season continues to go south for the Bears, Matt Nagy will likely be the first head coach fired in 2021.
