Matt Harvey Admits To Doing Cocaine During The Tyler Skaggs Lawsuit

Last week, it was announced that veteran pitcher Matt Harvey was going to take the stand in the trial involving former Angels pitcher, Tyler Skaggs — whose family has started a suit against a team employee who supplied the opioids he overdosed with.

When Harvey was called to testify, the accusation was that he was also involved in supplying drugs to Skaggs.

On Tuesday, Matt Harvey took the stand in the Tyler Skaggs lawsuit.

And while he didn’t admit to supplying the deceased teammate percocets that he used on the night of his tragic overdose, Harvey admitted that he took cocaine to party with on several different occasions.

Matt Harvey started his career as a star in New York. But after a fall from grace, Harvey’s game has taken a hit in recent years.

After stints with the Angels, Reds, Royals and Orioles, Harvey currently finds himself as a free agent. And after posting a 6.27 ERA in 2021, it’s hard to imagine any team taking a flyer on Matt Harvey — especially given his involvment in this lawsuit.

We’ll await any more information on the Tyler Skaggs case.
