Lamar Jackson Will Be Featured On The Cover Of Madden 21 And He’s Got A New Hype Man

By now, a lot of us have gotten used to Lamar Jackson being introduced by his Ravens teammate and fellow Heisman Trophy winner, Mark Ingram.

Just when I thought being Lamar Jackson’s hype man was Ingram’s job for the foreseeable future, Madden 21 dropped a promo and boy, was I wrong. I’ll let you be the judge.

Whoa. I don’t know about you but that one gave me chills and has me thrilled beyond belief for the 2021 NFL season. Let’s give credit where credit is due; Mark Ingram makes a great hype man, but there just aren’t too many people out there that can top Lil Wayne. Weezy has been off the radar for a bit, but he made a comeback on Fox Network’s Masked Singer as the robot and has now dethroned running back Mark Ingram as Lamar Jackson’s hype man.

There is just one element of concern in all this. Just a couple of days ago Lamar Jackson was recorded playing football on the beach and he had a bit of a crash landing.

Jackson is reportedly doing fine, but this had to be a major scare for the Ravens fans of the world. The Madden curse seems to have taken a bit of a hiatus as Madden 20 cover man Patrick Mahomes suffered a scary knee injury in week 7 of the 2020 NFL season, but returned to play a few short weeks later and went on to carry the Chiefs to a title and bring home the Super Bowl LIV MVP trophy.

I sure hope the evil of the Madden curse died with Mahomes and is not back to bite someone as talented as Lamar Jackson. The Ravens came up short in the playoffs in 2020 as they lost to the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round, but will be looking to rally behind their MVP and make a Super Bowl push this season. But with six-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady shipped to Tampa, the Ravens likely won’t be able to contend for a title without running into the aforementioned reigning Super Bowl MVP.
