Kendrick Perkins Presents A Crazy Theory About Where Chris Paul Will End Up

Chris Paul has been highly criticized throughout his NBA career for not being able to get the job done in the playoffs. Regardless, we all know that when the dust settles he is still a hall of famer. Championship or not, the man is a 10-time All-star nominated player. Is it crazy to think that a Chris Paul caliber player could join LeBron and Anthony Davis in Los Angeles? Kendrick Perkins thinks not.

This week, former NBA player and now ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins appeared on the Sedano and LZ show with a bold prediction about Chris Paul’s fate as a player. Perk predicted that Rajon Rondo would ultimately end up with the Clippers and that the Lakers would replace him with none other than Oklahoma City Thunder PG, Chris Paul.

“To be honest, I think the Lakers are going to lose Rondo. I really do. I think the Lakers are going to land Chris Paul, I think Rondo is going to be with the Clippers and I think y’all gonna lose Playoff Rondo. That’s the guy I think y’all are going to lose, said Kendrick Perkins.

We all know how great of friends LeBron James and Chris Paul are. Chris Paul has been on record this offseason saying that his destinations are the Lakers in L.A. or with New York. And I think he’s going to be a Laker. I’m telling you. I can see it happening right now, with him and Sam Presti possibly coming up with a buyout if they can’t come together and get a trade done. I’m like 85% sure Chris Paul will be a Laker next year.”

Within the past week, there have been rumors about Paul landing in New York with the Knicks, so keep in mind this is strictly the opinion of Kendrick Perkins. LeBron James and Chris Paul are good friends, as Perk mentioned. The two have talked on more than one occasion about trying to join forces. But is now the time? Your guess is as good as mine, however, Kendrick Perkins certainly seems to think so.

Sorry Playoff Rondo, your time in LA may have expired.
