Jordan Spieth Had The Most Ridiculous Shot Ever At The Pro-Am; Explains What Happened During Post-Round Interview

Jordan Spieth has no fear. Whether that is his golf game going for wild shots, or just simply standing on the edge of a massive drop off.

This was not any ordinary drop off that you could roll in to the water or just down a little hill. Spieth was standing over a 70 foot drop in to the Pacific Ocean.

Spieth was playing his third round at Pebble Beach when on the 8th hole he found himself looking down a terrifying shot. Instead of playing it safe, taking a drop, and taking the stroke penalty, Spieth decided to risk it all and take the shot.

It is definitely a view for the faint of heart.

Spieth managed to hit an incredible shot landing just past the 8th green. He then was able to get up and down to save par.

Speith talked with reporters after the round saying that his caddie, Michael Greller, tried to talk him out of the shot, saying stuff like “I don’t see the point”, and “It’s not worth it”. Clearly Greller thought there was a chance that Spieth could seriously injure himself.

Spieth was quick to run backwards after the shot and even asked Colt if he was being dramatic but Colt said “No, I don’t know what you were thinking.”

Spieth was then asked how he was going to explain his shot to his wife, Annie Verret. The two have been married since 2018, and clearly she couldn’t have been happy seeing her husband taking the risk of that shot.

But the most bothering thing Spieth said he was dealing with was the fact that he could see the blimp overhead of him.

Spieth propelled his incredible shot in to a 9-under 63 round on Saturday.

Spieth sits in a tie for 4th at -14 under, one stroke off leaders Beau Hossler, Andrew Putnam, and Tom Hoge who are all tied at -15 under.
