Tragedy struck the Atlanta area on Tuesday and some are still reeling from the violence. Former NBA star turned G Leaguer, Jeremy Lin, commented Wednesday on the Atlanta-area shootings that resulted in eight people dying, including six Asian women. According to CNN, the shootings took place at three massage parlors in and around Atlanta on Tuesday.

Lin tweeted the following on the tragedy:
This is sooo heartbreaking…praying for our world. To my Asian American family, please take time to grieve but know youre loved, seen and IMPORTANT. We have to keep standing up, speaking out, rallying together and fighting for change. We cannot lose hope!! ❤️#StopAsianHate #NOW https://t.co/Xm4ojbJALw

Last month, Lin wrote on Facebook: “Being a 9 year NBA veteran doesn’t protect me from being called ‘coronavirus’ on the court.”
Lin has been at the forefront of Asian race issues as of late, being a voice for the Asian community.
